"This is an old recording and probably the oldest song on the E.P., 'Marion' was a girl I knew who I felt I wanted to help. Obviously I was rejected by her and she kind of thought I was a weirdo. She still has a large cooking pot of mine and we never talk. I think I was 22 when I wrote this. The main lyric (we will win someday) refers directly to my dead grandfather, whom I love dearly. He used to promise me that we would win, one day. I intend to honour his faith in me."
